Development Office could be a bank in the 1960s. All white guys--no diversity.

Pros

BU's development office pays more than other universities. They have nice offices and underground parking. BU benefits are good.

Cons

Leadership of development office is very weak and performance is not rewarded. Suck ups and self-promoters are rewarded with promotions. Women have left there in droves. The ratio of men to women at BU is the opposite of every other development shop in Boston.
