Pros

Boston University has great work/life balance. All jobs, from what I can tell, are 9-5 and they do not want you working past 5pm, unless it's for an event or something specific.

Cons

It's very difficult to move up within the organization at different offices. It's almost impossible to get a title change. While they do offer cost of living increases each year, it's very minimal.

Pros

BU is a very stable place, with a ton of benefits for families. They provide good retirement matching, a great affordable daycare, excellent tuition benefits, and a vibrant community.

Cons

BU's salary scale seems low compared to other institutions. The faculty/staff dynamic can be tenuous depending on the unit.
