Pros

- Benefits - Wear multiple hats - Great portfolio pieces for real clients

Cons

Upper management is completely ignorant to what goes on below them and will never truly understand your job description or what you do until after you leave and they have to scramble to somehow fill your position. In my case, the position I held is still yet to be filled and it's been one year since I left. The communications office I worked in COMPLETELY turned over two separate times during my four years as a designer – I even held down the office 100% on my own at one point when all 5 positions left. Directors never last (they tried 3 during my time there). Writers have no freedom and leave from boredom quickly. Design can only be taken so far because the Dean has the final say over EVERYTHING. If you hate micro-managing from higher ups that won't even let you send an email without seeing it, then this is the place for you. Additionally, offices that are supposed to collaborate on large projects are often at odds with each other and do not work well together. There was constant tension and bad blood between offices under the same roof. I will never go back. Thank you.

Pros

None -Do not work there

Cons

Terrible place , especially for females. Mandgers can discriminate and harrass as they want , and if you dare to coplaint you will be threatened and retaliated. They will steal your salary and refused to pay you what they had promised.

Pros

Tuition reimbursement is available for employees

Cons

Very disorganized. There is no communication between any departments, or between departments and their colleges, or the universities as a whole. Staff is treated incredibly unfairly and is always at the mercy of the faculty, who are insidiously rude and hard to work with. Complaints to directors and even HR all fell on deaf ears. There are little to no opportunities for advancement in the majority of staff positions, and most desires to advance your career are met with opposition from supervisors & HR. The pay is way too low for everything that you have to put up with. I was so happy to leave here.
