Pros

There is lots of flexibility in terms of scheduling as well as choosing for which department you want to work at. It's a nice way to make some pocket money.

Cons

The tasks that a student worker is given is not exactly challenging or anything that could really prepare you for a career. Just more so for the sake of keeping up with expenses and making connections.
