Pros

- Flexible WFH (50% remote work) - Great healthcare benefits (literally costs you nothing) - Lots of holidays off - Generous (by US standards) vacation package (3 weeks) - Unlimited PTO - Pleasant/Fun company culture, lots of events to attend - You have autonomy on your day-day, as long as you get the job done you can manage your own time (no mirco-mangers)

Cons

- Pay is way below average for Administrative assistants in the area - There is not much of a bonus package, you will likely not get close to what they quote you in the offer letter

Pros

BCG is one of the best companies I have ever worked at (and probably will be over the course of my career!). The company has strong values that they truly live everyday in terms of doing the right thing for their clients and people. The people are smart yet humble, and truly care about each other. The culture is inclusive, fun and global. They offer amazing, best-in-class benefits and mobility options.

Cons

While BCG has very competitive and generous salaries for consulting staff, they do not pay well for non-client facing roles such as HR, recruiting, marketing, finance, etc. There is a significant gap here in terms of years of experience for roles they are hiring for and what they are willing to pay; which often gets outweighed by the amazing benefits and flexibility they offer (especially by women who have or are trying to have a family).

Pros

-The people here are absolutely fantastic -The firm invests in training for employees (both formal education and providing workshops) -The firm invests in the office culture -Great physical workspaces -Incredible health insurance (less helpful though if you're young, healthy, and childless)

Cons

If you want to grow your career here you must be on the consulting side. There are limited opportunities to get promoted in general, and for high impact opportunities, they prefer former consultants who want more work-life balance (or they will devote a team of consultants to an internal project). That doesn't leave a lot of opportunities for people wishing to grow their career. If you want a job that handles more scutwork than big impact but provides great work-life balance and benefits you'll be incredibly happy here as a BST employee.
