Pros

Fantastic exposure to Fortune 500 firms and their management teams. Great sense of camaraderie amongst the associate class. Good learning experiences, when you have the chance to work on a variety of projects. Can get time 'on the beach' in between projects - essentially paid vacation, but you're still tied to the blackberry

Cons

Work life balance goes out the window, particularly in the Americas. Long hours are expected, but hopefully moderated by client need. Weekend work in the office is rare (twice in 2 years) but checking emails on Sunday night is expected. 55h a week as an 'average' is true, but counts any 0's for beach time - so variance around that can be quite high.

Pros

Exposure to top level clients, and ability to challenge and impact their work. Helps one grow professionally and personally, and see meaningul results.

Cons

3-5 times more than what one learns in industry. But this does come at a price. Hours can be long.

Pros

1. Great brand, hence better exit opportunities 2. Some people, especially senior, are very bright and open 3. Good flexibility to manage worklife

Cons

1. Experience very PL/M dependent 2. Middle management losing the edge as top performers leave by then 3. Feedbacks repetitive (and sometimes just fill space rather than comment accurately) and promotion process not as transparent 4. Increasingly getting political as size is growing - If one PL/M could not relate to you personally, life could become difficult and you could be rewarded with unfair reviews 5. Partners too focused on selling; very few of them focus on genuine insight creation 6. Genuine desire to mentorship missing
