Morale of the company was shaken after three rounds of layoffs. After divesting from Dell the firm is having to transform into a distinct and purposeful stand-alone brand. Growing pains have been tremendous: the strategic vision has been in flux, our plans to deliver on the vision require constant pivot, this has been somewhat exhausting.

1. Micromanagement had gotten worse from onsite-days. This company has definitely NOT learned to adapt to remote work. 2. A lot of unnecessary and repetitive meetings. Roughly 2/3rd of your days went in meetings. Upper management/managers seem to enjoy keeping an eye on who is joining meetings and who isn’t (even for optional meetings) 3. Insinuating that you probably can’t leave the company even if you aren’t happy as the pandemic economy is bad during 1-1 checkins. Managers do not talk anything technical during 1-1. Very superficial topics like how to communicate better, how to make an impact among other non-sense. I mean you have a whole team on finance and product guys to talk about that. There is a culture of overdoing things and underpaying people. 4. If you are hardworking and get your job done, that is of ZERO VALUE to the company.....they expect you to only be more involved in other things. And even when you do that, they will always have something to complain about.
