Pros
Meeting the other servers.
Cons
As far as negatives I don’t know where to begin. Starting out Blue Plate felt like a great place to work..... until you work and work and work with no legal breaks. This is the only place I have worked in the past 6 years in my life that they DO NOT give out a legal 30 minute break. On a typical day at Blue Plate you will work a good 7-9 hours and they will release you on a break for about 10-15 mins and leave you cold scraps that we’re going to be throw away and tell you, you have a short time to eat and then your off to work again. This is without a doubt THE WORST COMPANY I have ever worked for. They will work you illegally with no break and have no compassion for there servers. To my fellow servers I will stand up for you and I will not let this continue any further. I’m reporting to company to the BBB as well as the employment labor board. You will not get away with treating servers this way. This company should be ashamed of themselves for working Hispanics especially older women for these long hours with no break on their feet for 8-10 hours a day. You abuse your employees and I will not stand for this!
