Business Outlook
Pros
Interesting field and technologies with a chance to learn. Work with some very smart people in the research labs who were often friendly. If given the chance with an open minded manager opportunities to modernize and improve some outdated and inefficient software systems in place.
Cons
Software is only a support service for them so it is not the key focus of company. Many contractors were placed in spaces without a real work space/desk making it a extra chore to get work done. Software Management did not want to listen or leverage knowledge of resources with key technological experience that could improve their applications.
