Pros

Biogen takes on challenging diseases. Most colleagues are great to work with. There is a high level of scientific expertise. Sabbatical benefit (1 month off after 6 yrs of service) is popular. Social outreach, STEM education, and DE&I efforts were visible.

Cons

Extremely cumbersome processes. Currently undergoing restructuring and widespread layoffs at most sites. Corporate strategy not clear as of October, 2023.

great coworkers, decent pay, nice bonuses.

Cons

No clear focus on restructuring. Clueless upper management. In the name of cost savings people in critical roles with extensive historical knowledge and carrying the workload of 2-3 people were let go while newbies with no work ethic remain. Scientists and Med Directors are now expected to handle the business end while working on new targets. #SAD
