The only downside I experienced while working for Big 5 was poor front-line team morale, interpersonal drama, and poor work ethic. As a manager, it was difficult to work for a team that behaved negatively toward management and associated management with the organization as opposed to being real people. What could have solved this problem was management recognizing they needed a new strategy while becoming more people-centric and empathetic and the front-line team needed to be able set prejudice and judgment aside and express a willingness to set old beliefs aside and give management a chance to do better without gossiping or battling them at every turn.
