The atmosphere is very toxic. The management in all the departments are friends and if one of them has an issue with an employee then the others have one with the employee as well even when the one manager is wrong. I have experienced and seen discrimination, favoritism and the selling of drugs at work. Management there knows about all of this but as I said they are a tight group and walk around like they are Gods. Their concern is fake for the most part and you really have to be a "Yes" person to stay in good standing with them. Almost 300 people were laid off this year and others have quit or been fired for different reasons. HR is not any help as they are always with the management even if management is wrong. Overstock prides themselves in having empathy with customers but they don't have much for employees.
