Pros

Initially great company to work for but rapidly gone downhill in the last 2 years. Bayer is getting a very bad reputation. Avoid like the plague!

Cons

Lost patient focus and absolutely desperate to beat the competition. Take it out on the field force. Very unhealthy environment to be operating in. Great managers have left and been replaced with inadequate managers not capable of coping with pressure. Extremely poor treatment of SalesForce by certain Sales Managers and so called field trainers! Bullying and mobbing mentality is rife with individuals being constantly picked on, reduced to tears and eventually having no other option than to leave. Staying silent is encouraged otherwise suffer the same consequences. HR just turn a blind eye to what is going on.

Pros

Working for an international company, you might have the opportunity to move to different countries. The salaries are very good. When they had to reduce the workforce they did so in a very humane way, giving generous severance packages and several months notice. I think they have a decent sense of corporate ethics both socially and environmentally.

Cons

Bayer is now entangled with a wave of Roundup lawsuits, at a relatively vulnerable time when they have spent a lot of cash to acquire Monsanto
