Pros

Fantastic medical benefits, specially for medicines.

Cons

- If you are not German, or a Woman then there is pretty much no future in the company, unless you are a big brown-noser. - Limited advancement or recognition for a job well done. - Communication from upper management is very poor, they never give clear directions on what employees should be doing. - Upper management concentrates too much on "activity metrics" and "growth expectations" over "team morale" which creates a hostile work environment. - Upper management does not listen as much as they do not communicate, often they go around telling you impossible is possible. - Big brown-nosers like the Director, Compliance, Audit and Risk Management HealthCare among others is there only to update PowerPoint presentations and do not real work. - If you are perceived to be a good employee you will usually they will block your access to training, or exclude you from meetings or communications that are relevant to your job, or will start setting impossible deadlines, in other words, setting you up to fail. - Performance reviews are pretty much useless, as there is a “quota” you have to fill in as below expectations, so reviews end up being very subjective and sometimes they will accuse you of things the reviewer does, but unfortunately you are on the other side.

Pros

Excellent 401(k), nice time off packages, great pay. Company has a very in-depth intranet and info is accessible to all employees. Company seems to embrace technology. Company communicates good values system.

Cons

Individual authority is VERY limited - All decisions must be fed up the chain and approved by the CEO (i.e. additional headcount, capital spend, etc.) - even the VPs are not empowered to make $40k hiring decisions. Frustrating, slow-moving company with arthritic decision speed. Corporate culture is to work 24/7, recognition is for working "long hours" (read: weekends, evenings, holidays) vs. actually achieving anything. Also, company is extremely reluctant to take any risks at all, therefore communications are exceedingly slow. Org structure is constantly changing/restructuring - feels a bit like change for change's sake, as the changes aren't held long enough to measure true impact.
