Great products, Good People, Terrible Rules, Unrealesitc Goals
Pros
Amazing products, and for the most part, your manager and co-workers are pretty good to deal with. Your clients that are loyal and like the company, will support your as much as they possibly can. Company is "well organized" like a bureaucracy, but communication is terrible.
Cons
You will work for your money. Prepared to be in front of your computer in the early AM, spend a day in the field, and be back in front of your computer until very late PM. "Clinic Strategy" makes it difficult to do the job with out lying. Good luck playing by all the compliant rules... want to bring donuts or bagels in to a clinic? be prepared to do at least a half hour of paperwork. Everything is priority per management, but the focus tends to be stupid crap that won't help you get paid. i.e. focusing on a $60 product, instead of $700 product. Many clinics really hate Bayer and don't want to deal with us because we put out the OTC letter a few years back. Plus, not a ding against Bayer, but their is way to much competition in this industry. Bayer is a bit of an arrogant company, but their products really are the best. They feel they can charge more, and participate in less programs then competitors - and they are right because they are making up loss in the vet channel by selling in the stores.
