A mismanaged company with disconnected leadership

Pros

Good benefits, nicely lit new building, long-time workers adaptive to changes in leadership. Despite lowered salaries, newly outsourced employees still maintain a professional demeanor with their former company's interests as their goal.

Cons

Top level and senior management are "latest trend" oriented and kept distanced from issues and decisions made by poorly skilled lower management that negatively affect many employees. New open office concept creates loss of productivity as many employees spend time looking for places to have private conversations, meetings and interviews.

Pros

Don't typically push anyone out. If you want, you can spend you entire career here. The new CEO seems energetic, with good ideas, and a long term vision.

Cons

To call them austere would minimize it. Extremely bottom line focused, at the expense of long-term growth. Passive aggressive culture. People are very nice superficially, but don't reveal their true motives. Very bureaucratic and slow decision making. It's not what you do or accomplish, it is who advocates for you. It's about who management is comfortable with, not who is most qualified.

Great company, great opportunities

Pros

I joined the company less than 2 years ago with no background in agriculture, but I got a lot of support from my supervisor and various colleagues to get me up to speed. You can feel that this is a company with a long tradition, but there are a lot of changes going on right now (most of them positive). In a nutshell: - Many great and experienced colleagues - Opportunities to play an important role in big, international projects - Good salary and benefits

Cons

Sometimes slow decision-making, quite a bit of internal bureaucracy
