Pros

Its an okay place to work...you get a great discount. The managers are very friendly and fun to work with.

Cons

There aren't really many downsides except the pay isn't that great and you don't get many hours. This shouldn't be a place where you try and make a career.

Pros

You get to see new products come out first.

Cons

Well, if you want hours this is not the place for you! If you want to work about 5 hrs a week...work here. The philsophy there is to hire a string of part timers and not giving them more than 5 hrs at a time so that they don't have to take a break. When you do actually work it is for minimum wage unless you are a manager. As a sales associate, you don't get any benefits. You are expected to sell like a commissioned sales associate, but it doesn't matter how much you sell. You still get paid the same. The manager won't give you any hours if you don't prove you are amazing at sales the first couple days working there. Why? Because the manager wants HER bonus. The only time you get to work a long shift is during floor sets on Sunday nights. This is where you rearrange the entire store for minum wage and don't get a break. Professonals that companies hire to do floorsets make a lot more than minum wage. I was there some times till 1 am. The worst part though is probably the on call shifts where you call an hour before the shift starts to see if they need you. When the manager wants to get rid of you, they just schedule you for all on call shifts and don't ever have you come in. Instead of having the courtesy to tell you it's not working out, they just waste your time with on call shifts. Yes, some of these complaints have to do with the particular store I was in. She was unprofessional and talked behind people's backs. All her other managers had quit by the time I quit. But, I do know that across the board, sales associates are treated as pretty much expendable. Oh, and I didn't put discount as a pro, because the sales they have for customers are usually better than the discount you get as a sales associate. I could go on and on, but I am going to spare you the rest. Just work some where else where you are appreciated.

Pros

friendly people, fairly laid back, simple job, easy to understand, breaks available when needed. Very good starting job for anybody. Won't have to stay long after the store closes, and floorsets don't take as long as other stores, as long as everybody is motivated.

Cons

You only get hours if you post your availability on the employee transaction thing on the website, otherwise you won't get scheduled unless it's a floorset, and if you can't live on a paycheck that only has 4hrs on it
