Not well stocked. In today's economy, people ask constantly if we're going out of business!! YIKES!
If you are complimented over and over by customers, management and associates alike, no further reward is given than a pat on the back.
Feedback on efficiency is taken as criticism rather than a contribution to help the team/store succeed.
You're at the mercy of the management team to set skill levels for you, which in-turn affects the hours you receive.
NO SENIORITY!! Patience (2yrs) and hard work does not pay off! Great customer service skills, being well-organized, having better product knowledge, having to "help" new hires, and volunteering for fun projects off the clock does not earn you anything. If you consider it dedication to the job in hopes that you'll get to work more or get to move up, you'll be sadly mistaken. The CSL's, Manager's and company will enjoy the benefits of your dedication while you get the same low pay (under $8, that's no typo!) and have to share hours with folks that lack customer service skills, can't recommend things, and leave things disorganized for the next shift.
It's a bummer to love a job so much but be hindered by your superiors!
