Pros
Will hold job for service members after they return from deployment (Federal Law) Prefer hiring veterans and current service members
Cons
If a current service member goes on an emergency deployment (i.e. 72hrs to deploy), Barrick will pay their base Salary rate or hourly rate for the first 29 days of deployment. After that, the rest of the deployment will be unpaid by Barrick. If a current service member goes on orders for drill status or AT days, Barrick will only pay their base salary or hourly rate for the first 15 days. After that Barrick, the rest of the days on orders will be unpaid by Barrick. Compare to individuals who sustain injury (on or off the job site) who will be paid their base hourly or salary rate up to 6 months.
