Pros

I've worked for Barclay Simpson for 10 years. It is a great place to work for proactive recruitment consultants who enjoy the freedom and flexibility to develop their market in their own style. It isn't one size fits all recruitment and this means new consultants can learn from lots of different styles of doing business. We work on a profit share scheme which fosters lots of collaboration so there isn't much in the way of office politics. Star performers have this topped up with additional bonuses.

Nothing much to speak of.

Fun, relaxed and supportive working environment. Best remuneration in the business for those that are able to perform consistently over an extended period of time, generous leave allowance, flexible working environment.

Cons

Communication has been poor in the past, although now improving.

Barclay Simpson offers excellent flexible working benefits in an industry that is not renowned for it. It is an empathetic company that values their employees on a human level and allows them to work around outside commitments and enjoy the balance of a career and family life.

Cons

Communication could be better and the profit-sharing scheme would not be suitable for someone more interested in individual commission
