- Barclay Simpson unfortunately have become their own worst enemy as they have tried to grow too fast and have ended up losing lots of great recruiters due to the lack of structure and career progression. They are stuck thinking they are still the best.
- Communication is TERRIBLE and nothing changed during my time there
- There are lots of cliques and there is lots of politics
- There is a definite 'old boys' club and some of the people in this club are very ineffective recruiters, meaning there is no direction or drive in the firm
- 'Profit share' was never clearly defined to me, and the expectations of junior consultants to get on to profit share were much higher than what 'Directors' or senior consultants were billing. There were profit share consultants billing £90k per year....
- It was told to me on multiple occasions that Barclay Simpson wasn't designed for top billers, but if you want flexible working in an uninspiring atmosphere, it is a great option
- Very quiet and flat environment
- I would only recommend senior consultants joining as there is no structure or support for junior consultants.
