Pros

Great team and environment, offers excellent learning opportunity and interesting cases and clients for those just out of law school.

Cons

Small office, limited promotions, limited creativity, few prospects and a notoriously small minded partner.

Pros

Strong corporate and tax practices and great exposure to sophisticated work with big clients. Steep learning curve but there is freedom to manage and be responsible for your own files. Good career progression depending on the partner that you work for.

Cons

As with every big firm there are many systems and procedures too learn, can get bureaucratic and therefore not much autonomy in this regard. Little work life balance.
