Pros

Good pay and benefits Excellent facilities - subsidized lunches, modern offices, free (but small) gym Galleria location

Cons

Shrinking company - selling off assets and operations in others at a standstill Moving support work out of first world countries into second/third world countries Lots of talk about supporting "speaking up" - but those who did were largely later let go during downturns Lack of success at exploration means future growth options are limited Distinct possibility that Petroleum business is sold off or spun off in the next few years

Pros

Very stable in terms of sustaining viability in a struggling market due to its size and conservative nature: large assets of key commodities. A safe place to work, in all meanings of the word.

Cons

At the same time, overloaded by the nature of the large structure. While powerful by nature of being a multi-national, the organizations agility in a struggling commodities market is found lacking in comparison.
