      Pros

      Professional environment, great technology, flexible, lots of relevant CPE. Clientele is middle market and gives you exposure to all kinds of transactions and situations. Potential for international travel.

      Cons

      Pressure to maintain heavy workload depending on size of office, turnover at lower levels. This is all normal stuff related to public accounting at a national level - it is not unique to BDO.

      Pros

      - free breakfast at baker street before 8.30am (to the value of £1.50...therefore toast and tea) - pretty nice office in london (poor outside london) - work plenty of hours for the same annual pay - aca out of it...probably MAIN BENEFIT

      Cons

      - no recognition - all about the right handshake, wink wink, ill see you right mate attitude - HR appalling - racist firm (NO JOKE) - made (i.e. forced) to undertake jobs above your pay grade with client none the wiser (unethical to say the least) all about saving costs on charge out rates - as a firm overall its in decline and if i could rewind the clock...most likely would have gone big 4.

      Pros

      Nice sized clients. Hours are more reasonable. Opportunities to work near home office or travel. Efforts made by management to grow the firm.

      Cons

      Pay is lower than it should be and as a result, staff turnover is higher than necessary. Presence in central United States is lacking and firm name is not as well known.
