Pros

Mobility with in the company is quite possible if you have a supportive manager. Non-sales positions may have a better work environment. Very badly needed computer system upgrade is in place since I left.

Cons

A lot of Micromanaging to the point where it creates a serious constraint in work flow. Day to day activities become hard to accomplish for all the various and required methods of reporting to management. Sales pressure gives you more of the stick than the carrot. The comission for various sales is so low as to not be much of an incentive. It was $1 for a checking account when I was there and the computer system was SLOW. Business model was too reliant on NSF's creating a lot of unhappy customers also.

Pros

Initially was not as aggressively sales motivated at other employers I have worked for. (Chase) The company is rapidly taking on BBVA's profit model which calls for stricter policies, higher goals and less compensation.

Cons

Technology is extremely back dated. Do not expect to gather any valuable information needed regarding client accounts or problem resolutions quickly. They constantly create new reports and policy/procedure changes to make up for the lack of platform competency. salary is in line with other banks base salaries. However, the commission structure for consumer and business products is offensive. This coupled with the almost unattainable goals and requirements that bankers now act as full MBO's without the compensation makes for a depressing work environment.

Pros

Good medical and dental insurance. Great vacation allowance. Company tends to award time off for winning campaigns.

Cons

No room for advancement anymore. Must be hired for management positions from the outside. Horrible training. Senior management often disorganized and forgetful. Promised a great future... yet to have seen it. There is a lot of gossiping and backstabbing among the management teams, district level and HR. Welcome Guaranty!
