The mid and senior leadership is spiteful, dishonest and vindictive. The culture is toxic and one of the running jokes in Port Arthur is that management hates us. There are no plans to spend capital on anything of substance at the site. There is minimal training and blind loyalty is considered more important than ability, talent and knowledge. Targeting and bullying are common tactics by senior operations management. Fear and intimidation are the common drivers to keep employees in line. There is no voice for hourly technicians. Very little interaction is given by senior management and feedback is not appreciated, nor acted upon. Gift cards are given to contractors by management when an operator is caught making a mistake.
