Non Transparency & One Way Communication

Business Outlook

Pros

Flexi working method Fully remote work

Cons

The transparency of reviews on worker performance is limited to a one-way communication method, not aligning with the practice advocated in the questionnaire. The questionnaire inquires about whether the certified company conducts 360 review sessions. However, decisions are solely made from the management's perspective, and termination reasons provided seem nonsensical.

Pros

Smart and motivated team mates

Cons

Rampant sexism- women in leadership are actively pushed out or overlooked for growth opportunities, ineffective leadership, poor financial management- the layoffs have been consistently happening since 2022, lack of strategy has left most projects going no where and staff are often blamed for leadership's short comings

Mismanagement and low-no opportunity for growth

Pros

There are many kind, well-meaning people at the company. Some benefits are positive, such as a student loan repayment contribution and no-cost, high deductible healthcare plan for US employees.

Cons

No transparency from leadership, despite that being a guiding principle of the organization. B Lab is at an inflection point, but I feel it is lacking the management and expertise to meet the demands of the change, and unfortunately, employees are not being prioritized in the process (significant layoffs, freeze on promotions for remaining staff). Salaries are also comparatively low and the word “equity” is misused constantly, in part as a way to justify poor benefits for staff.
