Pros

- Very relaxed, great work-life balance (depends on which team you're in) - Good benefits, great office location in SF - Stock does well - Access to making things, learning new tools (if that's your shtick) - Gallery has Design Night which is cool to attend

Cons

- Don't join this place if you're young, ambitious and want to make a career in marketing - Compensation is below industry standard - Extremely product driven - Way too many products, no singularity on vision - Siloed culture, no one knows what the other is doing, ten people doing the same job - Everyone thinks they are an expert at marketing - Lack of new fresh ideas - most of the team is made up of folks who have been around the company for 10 years - Lack of innovation means less skills learnt - No budget invested on things that really count. Product has the last say. - Reorgs after reorgs, after reorgs. - Did I mention reorgs?

Pros

Depending on job role and manager, working from home on occasion or set day of week was feasible. Leaving to take kids to doctor appointments and watch school performances was accepted. Missed work hours could be made up at home in the evenings. Small gym on site with great lunch classes available. Autodesk would reimburse for the gym membership. Peets coffee and nice expresso machines available for free. Company matched donations and 4 hours of volunteer time per month on company time permitted.

Cons

In the 7 years I worked there I never got more than a 1-4% annual raise. Even when I switched job roles, I was told it had to be a lateral move. My most recent immediate manager told me that in order to get a significant raise, you had to quit Autodesk and come back as a new employee in a new role. Then again, this manager was the most horrendous manager I have ever had.

Pros

Good Benefits like Health Insurance, Leave Policies, Company encourage to do community services, Charity contributions, etc.

Cons

Micro Management in the form of Agile. Personal Growth is not good. Recently I see racial culture is getting in. Middle Management is completely spoiled. Employees will not be treaty with respect and dignity.
