Pros

I loved Autodesk. I started as an individual contributor, and left as a WW Leader. While never easy to navigate the waters of corporate America, I loved most all the people there, and the opportunities changed my career long term! I love the company and what it stands for.

Cons

Big company. - that's not all bad though.

Pros

Work life balance: was one of the best environments I have worked in. I felt that co-workers were willing to collaborate and were very welcoming to new ideas. Really fun, interesting, very innovative product solutions. Generally management was very supportive management and listened to employees’ ideas and concerns. Overall one of the better companies I have worked for. Wish I didn't leave.

Cons

A lot of internal job changes can be disruptive for projects. In some departments managers have been in the same position of many years which limits upward mobility. Probably explains why more lateral job movements internally.

Pros

Great culture, great work environment and products that make an impact on the world. The leadership tries hard to steer the company to be cutting edge and innovative:

Cons

Many times it feels leaders within the organization are not held responsible for their decisions. For example a Director or a VP makes a decision or embarks on an initiative and even before the real effects of that decision is realized, that Director or VP is already celebrated and promoted or is asked to move onto something else. Currently the company seems to be in a bit of an identity crisis trying to be a cloud company without a clear idea of what makes a cloud company. Many times all the decisions to be too centered around San Francisco!
