      Corporate Confusion

      Pros

      Decent pay, nice benefits. California offices are really nice. Internally they're trying to "Googlefy" themselves and it's showing, but to be honest it seems kind of pointless.

      Cons

      Seems to be a lack of engagement with management. Career path not really obvious. The company's way of innovation is by acquiring more startups. I don't think that's good for the long-term. The stocks and fiscal reports reflect that.

      Pros

      Competitive salary, excellent benefits. Ability to be involved in many different types of projects and learn a variety of technologies. At the engineering level, ability to work with great people who want to work together to get the job done.

      Cons

      For all the talk about work/life balance, it's definitely more work than life. The longer you are there, the more you feel like there is a "target" on your back for termination. The company seems to be moving back towards more outsourcing. Opportunities for growth and advancement are there, provided you are extremely vocal about wanting them and willing to "push" yourself into those areas. For example, if you want to be involved in a project that offers new technology, but may not be assigned to it, you need to find ways on your own to participate and help with the project un-officially, hoping you'll be noticed. Also, there are too many meetings and too many org changes which do not provide any stability.

      Pros

      Seeing the amazing things designed using autodesk software! Great people at autodesk and really good benefits too.

      Cons

      Extremely political, a real "boys club" mentality in APAC, very few women in leadership roles. Big on recognition but not on reward. Salary increases are almost non existent, expect to remain on the same salary for years, even when you are promoted.

      Thanks for your review -- we've working hard to increase diversity across the board, particularly with women in leadership. As a grassroots effort, we convinced HR leadership to hire director of diversity position to audit and take action on these very topics.
