Good job in RFV

Pros

Great place to work if you want something in the RFV. Good benefits, makes living in the area more accessible. Many departments have a hybrid WFH policy that allows flexibility. Occasionally they promote from within and will assist in career development. Company promotes an active outdoor lifestyle, some departments promote ski breaks.

Cons

Entire company is becoming more and more corporate as time progresses, take that as you will. Feels much less employee centric than it did in previous years and more bottom line profit driven (that growth and drive is not reflected in raises or bonuses which have been reduced.) Large amount of turnover in last few years. Tenured and many passionate employees are diminishing rapidly. Way more out of state hires from LA and NY in management and executive roles. Many departments are in “reorganization phases”.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We’re glad you highlighted the opportunity for work in the RFV. You’re right that our leadership structure has evolved over the past few years. That period of change was intentional as we positioned the organization for long-term sustainability, growth, and innovation. While transitions can be challenging, they’ve also brought new perspectives and a renewed focus on supporting our teams and guests. We appreciate feedback like this, as it helps us reflect and continue improving the employee experience as we move forward.

Pros

Great place to work as an entry-level ski instructor. The training and support are best in the industry!

Cons

Cost of living in Aspen is very high and hard to survive as a ski instructor. Also they way over-hired this past season so there was very little work for rookie pros. I only worked 26 days the whole season.
