Pros

In large offices decent training and work life balance at first. Good starter foundation.

Cons

Promotion from the inside and training to get ahead near impossible, the position you are hired in is around where you will stay unless your manager suddenly leaves and you are next in line. If you are not in a major office you will have really no mobility. Employee reviews are a joke and do not really have any meaning. "Raises" are really cost of living increases supposedly tied to your review, but not really. Unfortunately in these later years Arrow has been after a cash grab for investors choosing to higher low college wage kids and push out the experience to save a buck.

Pros

Arrow is an awesome place to make connections, cut your teeth on the electronics industry in general, and get a very broad base of experience as the company does practically everything under the sun.

Cons

Arrow is not a very rewarding company to work for. Specifically they have this corporate culture that doing your job, and doing it well, is not to be rewarded. If you do 100% of your job, that is considered average, and only people that are doing 150-200% are considered to be above average employees. They have no interest in taking an active role in perpetuating your career and expect the employee to be wholly responsible for pushing themselves forward. This seems like a minor complaint, but without guidance, mentorship, or any kind of positive reinforcement, this company really makes you feel like there is no way to move forward. Additionally; not giving employees a clear path to advance not only discourages them from working hard, but makes it nearly impossible to know or find out how to move forward.
