Pros

They offer above average benefits and competitive pay.

Cons

The executive leadership is completely out of touch with its employees and reality. They are more concerned with the bottom line to impress their stock holders than they are on creating a better customer experience and for taking care of and rewarding their employees. They don't offer profit sharing or employee stock options and for a company this size to not invest in education reimbursement speaks volumes of their lack of foresight. For a company that preaches "innovation" and "5 years out" they show little to no preparation for a future with good employees. They do not reward, they do not promote, and they do not invest in their own talent. The culture there is "don't screw it up" and it shows. This company is completely broke of action consistent to what it touts it is. Go work for them if you want to believe in false promises and are happy staying in a stagnant thankless job.

Arrow Electronics Response

Thank you for your candid review of your experience at Arrow electronics - we're sorry to hear it sounds like your experiences here were not ideal. Many of the issues that you have discussed are under consideration, and one point it seems you are alluding to is compensation and taking care of our employees. One initiative we are excited about is an opportunity we have had lately to review our job profiles on site here and see what skills our workers have and the tasks they are doing on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis. This, in turn, we believe will allow managers to have conversations with their current workforce about movement, either upward or cross-functionally. As it's been close to two years since this review was written, we hope that your new role is treating you well, and wish you all the best for your future successes!

Pros

401k match is fair, occasional drawings for tickets to events

Cons

Good Ole Boys at the top/Executive Leadership Buddy Games, Questionable Accuracy with Fiscal Reporting to the SEC, An HR organization who does nothing about legitimate and proven complaints, Retaliation for complaints, Broken Company Culture, Frequent Layoffs (6 of over 100 employees in my division alone since Sept, of 2017), No Professional Development, Extremely Poor Business Ethics, Compensation Plan Inconsistency, Prohibitive and Frequently Changing Bonus Structure, Lack of Advocacy for Individual Contributors and Middle Management, Lack of Trust in Employees, Hiring Freezes... Look if you want to do 6 jobs for the price of 1, and have no one care about your career, while the company also actively tries to cover up major and deliberate financial mistakes, while turning over the team around you faster than burgers getting flipped at McDonalds, this is your place! Oh, and Coronavirus... yeah they will still make you work in the office despite being an IT company with plenty of resources to allow for working from home. I have multiple verified sources inside Arrow who confirm this as of 3/30/20.

Pros

I worked on a great team that did more with less, I made some good friends. The free snacks and coffee are great, but year after year you could feel your soul dying and I became lazy which never happened before.

Cons

Oh boy where to start on this one. Upper management in Digital is the worst I have ever seen, the guy running the place seems to the monorail salesman from the Simpsons, he sold the C-Level guys a bunch of BS and they eat it up. The others running the day to day just plain suck, not just horrible managers but truly horrible people. I saw QA testers quit after two day because of bad management, people quitting Arrow Digital without jobs lined up, just so they didn't have to face the horrible higher up's. Don't get me started on the state of the bathrooms, what kind of grown men pee all over the floors and walls?
