if you get into a friendly team, it is a great workplace. some people are easier to get along with than others, but overall it is a welcoming environment.

Cons

incredibly layered hierarchy, often you're not sure who the decision maker is, and it can take weeks to get an answer to questions. For such a progressive thinking company, I think they need to streamline the decision making.

The approach smaller companies take to make decisions is drastically different than that of a large company. Since we have grown rather quickly in the last few years, we have had to change our way of thinking in how we approach decision making, as you are absolutely right that process can be streamlined to be more efficient. As you mentioned, we offer all employees a flexible work schedule, and all FTE employees a very generous amount of PTO, both of which help with keeping your mind and energy levels refreshed. On your view of HR policies, we continually collect feedback and improve on said HR policies to make ARM an even better to work. Recent changes like the new AFDS log book help employees with better communication channels with their line managers, as well as their annual performance review/salary adjustment. -Rick C. Thanks for leaving a review! Historically, ARM was primarily focused on developing hardware IP, but these days ARM is now equal in hardware and software roles! If you mean for your role you were expecting more HW work and instead had more SW, our new AFDS logbook would have allowed you to address your work balance with your line manager on a more frequent basis.
