      Pros

      There were a lot of clever people who worked hard to build Arm. Good medical benefits. Arm will continue to be profitable, but whether it is still a good place to work depends upon where you are located and your management chain, some are weak and cannot protect you, others have more influence and you can thrive.

      Cons

      The company has lost its way, jobs in US are being moved to the UK resulting in a loss of long term employees who have knowledge and history, it is a shame to see the negative changes to a once justifiably proud Arm culture. Unfortunately, Arm is now driven by the whims of Softbank, so upper management must serve its master.

      -Good benefits and salary package -Diversity and equality -Good team spirits and openness to collaboration

      Cons

      -Overwhelming workload which causes huge amounts of stress and pressure -Informal expectation of working with people in different time zones, which to a degree forces you to do your job after or before your standard working hours, weekends and during your annual leave -Dysfunctional IT systems adding significant burden to your day to day job -Lack of clear direction and leadership, constant change, creating chaos -Top management inability to follow simple processes creating challenges and adding complexity in straightforward activities

      Pros

      I’m working with a great team. Decent benefits. Flexible working. The work is inspiring.

      Cons

      The focus is strongly on an IPO, even if that impacts longer term shareholder value. The current “restructuring” has been handled poorly, morale is at rock bottom across the organisation. Junior staff have been badly impacted by changes to benefits and restructuring. Despite all of the bravado, the owning group appear to just wants a fast buck. The new CEO has failed to win the heart of the organisation.
