Pros

Friendly, super-smart people. Not a lot of politics. Company is growing rapidly

Cons

Lots of change right now - not necessarily a con, but what was needed to be successful here 5 years ago likely isn't what is needed today.

It’s great to hear you’ve found the culture at Arm welcoming and free from unnecessary politics. We’re proud of the smart, collaborative teams that drive our growth and keep pushing boundaries. You’re right that we’re in a period of significant change, and that pace can feel different depending on where you sit. The shift is intentional as we position Arm for the next stage of global impact, and it demands new ways of working compared to even a few years ago. Thank you for sharing your reflections so early in your journey with us.

Wonderful to hear how motivated you feel and how much you value the people you’re working alongside. Arm’s strength has always come from extraordinary teams and the energy they bring to solving complex problems. We know the pace and hours can fluctuate, especially when tackling ambitious goals, and we want people to have the flexibility and support they need to sustain their impact. Thank you for sharing your early impressions from Seattle, it’s clear you’re already making a difference.

Pros

Cambridge is nice Reputable company Possibility of internal moves

Cons

If you're a compiler engineer or a software engineer joining a compiler team under CE-SW, please reconsider. Upper management are known to play favourites, hold on to toxic employees, you can complain a million times about bullying and discrimination but the ones who bully and discriminate are not held accountable since they are friends of the managers. The diversity of the teams are on the decline and when these issues are raised the response is usually “there's nothing we can do”. I would stay away unless you're hired based on a personal connection to the engineering managers.

We’re sorry to read about your experience on the compiler side of the business. Bullying and discrimination are not acceptable at Arm, and we take these concerns extremely seriously. Diversity, equity and inclusion are central to how we operate, and the behaviours you describe do not reflect the culture we are committed to building. Please raise this directly with the People team or with Ethics so the issues can be properly investigated; if you prefer, you can also reach out via glassdoor@arm.com with more detail. Your feedback matters, and we want to understand it fully.
