      Ok place but needs better training

      Decent pay, benefits, culture, 401k

      Cons

      There training in ops needs work. It was rushed, unorganized and not safe. My first hell week on shift they put 5 new hires with me (I was told this wouldn't happen) and expected me to find coverage for my cross shift test. I was also told I had til March to train and they tried to rush it a month early. Many operators do not get their days off either.

      It’s a Mixed bag

      Pros

      Exciting and challenging work. Good technical support (at times)( true engineering work is being done here. strong safety culture.

      Cons

      Short staffed. Lack of work life balance. Reinforces and awards the hero complex for engineers vs building sustainable systems. Pay is not competitive unless the job is in Texas.
