Pros

Compared to other delivery services, you are paid hourly rather than per-delivery which is great through quieter periods where you wont do more than 12 deliveries in one shift. At the site i worked at, there is a lot of driving to get to some areas, can be up to an hour of driving until you reach your delivery location which is great as you still get paid the hourly rate for the drives. Argos pay all fees for the van usage, all vans have a fuel card so you are literally not paying anything for the deliveries. Vans are good spec, recently got some new mercedes sprinters in late 2024, all have amazing aircon, cruise control, lane assist, collision avoidance etc.

Cons

Sainsburys management keeps making huge changes as "trials" that never work out. Regardless of this, we are still forced to maintain these trial runs. As a driver, health is important as if you are unsafe to drive then you should not be working, however, argos adopts a 3 absences in a 12 month period so if you go off sick a 4th time in 12 months you will be taken to a disciplinary meeting
