Pros

Decent pay for a customer advisor, and easy enough work. Just basic retail work. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Cons

No seats at tills! On feet for entire shift. Management team are constantly changing and the conflict between the different managers really effects the atmosphere for the other workers. No opportunity for progression and few hours.

Pros

Stock operations mechanics is unrivaled. Getting better at customer service. Some excellent people, despite fairly average rewards for working in the company. Multi-channel shopping streets ahead of most others.

Cons

Questionable upper management decisions have made Argos a company that is chasing others in terms of service and technology used to operate the business. Whilst the company has made strides to improve itself in both regards - it is still fairly backward. Pay rates vary hugely for the same positions in middle management. The opportunity to progress from middle management is poor. Work-life balance is ok.

great training, always looking how to better themselves with the service they deliver and always changing with the climate so they do not fall out of touch with the customer.

Cons

Salary low for amount of stress and responsibilities management have. Company needs to look at a pay restructure and bring inline or better than other big companies to attract the best candidates available.
