Pros

Started working for Argos at 16 as a Christmas Temp, from then I had to fight for my chance to be kept on permanently, I took on board all over time, health and safety and achieved as much as I could. I got made permanent. I decided that I wanted to make a career in retail. Within 2 years I was made a Team-Leader and stayed it for 4 years, I loved every part of it, had my own team, ran the huge stockroom with my manager and it was great. One year ago I made a decision that I wanted to go higher. I now have my own Stockroom and my own store. I'm 21 years old and I am a manager for this company and I have loved every second of it. Yes there are changes that are difficult, Argos is moving forward.

Cons

To be honest I don't have any of the top of my head.

Pros

Flexible managerial style to work out hours for my part time work. Many benefits like staff discount and rewards schemes. Friendly staff in the stores. Good range of jobs for a mix working in different areas of the store. Training on new technology. Room for expansion in the company

Cons

Difficulties in working out holiday days with managers and still receiving money for days worked. Strict upper management style. Strong dependance on selling product care and gaining Argos cards

Pros

Great position while studying or with a view to move on. Experience in customer service, cash handling and stock management for all entry level staff. Good training and support in store. Great environment to make new friends.

Cons

Peak periods are hectic. Work can be demoralizing and tedious. Some management poorly trained. Very goal orientated and be ready to be constantly reminded of that if your store isn't hitting KPI's
