Pros

Work went in fast because there was so much to do and a lot of diversity. The people who worked there were great company. I learned a lot about credit cards, insurance and other things I did not previously know. Everyday was a learning day. If it was the only job you had, you can still grow within the company.

Cons

The reservation system was not good. Even as a customer now there are problems. For example: I ordered 6 shelves, my phone said it would be available from 10-11th, went on the 10th wasn't ready then went on the 11th and was same issue, so they had to voice them away in stock room but still one of my shelves was missing. For some reason it had only put 5 through the system despite me requesting 6. When working there, I would have some issue with the reservation system at least 3 times in 1 shift. The headsets buttons would break and it was poor timing to get them replaced and was expected to use a pencil to press the button in my shift which wouldn't even work. I wasn't fully trained in all areas. Most of the time I had to figure it out. Argos started taking on too much in my opinion for 1 employee to deal with. For example: trading in mobiles and it was a long complicated process and monthly plans, etc. The shop is only given X amount of hours that the manager can give to employees which is bad because that means at time (a lot of the time) we were understaffed and needed more people. Since the system works that they only supply hours based on sales. There were times I was the only person on a till and people would be kept waiting for up to 20 minutes because I was doing say a argos card, etc. Would of like to be trained how to use Aura.
