Argos was my first ever job. Started as a Christmas temp and stayed for 6 years while I completed university. Great team, fun working environment, sense of family

If the salary was better I would have considered training to be management

Parking fines handed out to staff at Christmas !

Not a lot to say here to be honest. Most people are nice, that's about it. Local employer in north west

Cons

Parking fines issued to staff members for parking at nearby retail park as instructed by their managers!!! Staff told that Argos have an agreement with the retail park and to provide their car reg details ( which we did) to allow us to park there during office hours. Over 30 staff now issued parking fines just before Christmas - wall of silence from managers as to why and not taking any responsibility at all for the instructions they gave to team members. Staff having to pay up to £130 because of incompetent or dishonest managers !!!! AVOID .

Variety of jobs to do, management have always been flexible (at my store anyway) with giving you whenever days you ask for off, brilliant team, i can understand why it isn't everyone's cup of tea, as you are required to do a lot, but at my store, everyone is like a giant family, and it totally helps if you get along with everyone you work with, my job is what keeps me going, and i love everything about it!!

Cons

Honestly can't think of anything bad at all!! Can be stressful during peak times, but this makes your shift fly by!!
