Pros

Good benefits including a great employee stock purchase program Pretty flexible with work scheduling and time off, and the option of purchasing additional time off. I was satisfied with my salary and benefits.

Cons

Being billable to a project is EVERYTHING at Arcadis, little else matters. Each year you must complete on-line Harassment Training and Safe Driving programs (even if you don't drive a vehicle for company duties) which, of course, are non-billable tasks. In the years I worked there I NEVER ONCE heard the word "Teamwork", or heard anyone mention doing quality work. Arcadis cultivates an environment of "you against them", and rewards backstabbing and lying. I was told that I failed to understand that everyone there was an "Internal Client", not co-workers.

- Flexible working hours - Accept fully remote work - Nice manager

Cons

- Pays lower than other competitors. - Bureaucracy. The number of years of experience weighs more than your actual skills/abilities when it comes to promotion/raise.

Pros

- All the junior staff are amazing - Flexibility to work remotely

Cons

- Lots of office politics, especially in the Water group in New York. Your performance review & standing can sink if a manager whispers gossip about you - Local directors/leaders are borderline incompetent (wasting people's time pursuing a topic that will never generate sizable revenue for the company) - Low pay compared to comparable firms - Salary increases are based on managers fighting over a cash pool & prioritizing the list of their direct reports - Any HR complaints/reports submitted takes a long time to get a response from, and only gets escalated when it's too late
