Lucrative salary, good benefits package, opportunities to travel BUT you have to start brown nosing from the moment you get hired, being good at your job simply isn't good enough, its who you know, NOT what you know in Arcadis Ireland

Cons

Arcadis Ireland will teach you how to recognize the signs of constructive dismissal, before you internalize your own shame of being made redundant. I worked hard, had zero absenteeism, leaped at opportunities, worked in different areas wherever and whenever I was needed, even if it felt undignified at times, Got on with clients and my own colleagues, but nothing helped. You are just a number, you will be working along people that are half wits, alcoholics, delinquents, gamblers, you name it...but that's the nature of construction industry....and you will learn to put up with it all. At the end, you will be targeted by algorithm that calculated you were too expensive to keep. Eventually they will weaponise your own pride against you, knowing that high performer will rather take the settlement and leave, rather than suffer the indignity of irrelevance.

The work culture is great and my hours have been great and you get good recognition and work is interesting.

Cons

Pay is quite low for cost of living but higher than other design consultants so more of con for industry than Arcadis.
