Ruthless, and self-absorbed 'leaders' who like to talk a good game. U.S. style management consultant ethos and terminology pervade the organisation. The leadership don't particularly inspire respect and there is a culture of self-aggrandisement, narcissism and nepotism. It is clear that everything is geared toward the shareholder rather than investing in providing a first class service. Lots of bluster from a marketing department with a unwarranted sense of self-importance. Ruthless HR department where 'means to an end' is order of the day. Pay and salary are well below market average. Persistent non-organic growth and acquisitions means that integration will be a recurring issue. The ditching of well respected brands such as EC Harris and Hyder in markets where Arcadis reflect a certain arrogance.

Upper management controls everything, middle management sucks and could care less about their employees and their team, even if you work your butt off, make revenue and clients love you. That doesn't matter.
