Well-seasoned Engineering teams. Good benefits. Lots of skilled employees. Ability to influence technical solutions. In the past - lots of training to improve skills in all fields.

Cons

Hidden decisions. Frequent and unjustified lay offs. Outsourcing the most valuable developments to India and Russia. No loyalty to old-time folks.

I studied HR Management before beginning my career at Applied. Unlike other organizations, the company focuses on driving strategic alignment and leveraging its talent to do so. There are so many areas to learn, develop, and make an impact within HR.

Cons

Applied Materials is actively indergoing strategic change that is multifaceted. As a new employee, it can be overwhelming to learn the ropes while so many things are in transition.
