I have been a Trader Joe's employee for almost 13 years. In the time that I've worked there the vibrant culture that once made it a great place is all but gone.Over the past three years Dan Bane has sent bi- annual form letters telling employees how great our sales are while our retirement funds and healthcare benefits are slashed. In store management has gotten so bad that many of the stores don't even attempt to keep the store looking good or keep popular items in stock. From the corporate management to the store level operations there really seems to be no accountability among those in charge- this makes for a very lax workplace. I've seen many new hires who think it's a great place to be for the first few years, but when there's no opportunity for growth and no one takes pride in their work they end up another lazy, disgruntled "worker".

i enjoyed every last bit of it, the benefits are very good
