Limited progression unless on graduate programme

Pros

Good people Great range of brands

Cons

Limited progression unless you’re London-based graduate. Always banging the drum about ‘culture’, realistically if you’re not willing to prioritise work over everything else, you’ll be pushed out. No support for anyone with a family, pretend to be a diverse company, but couldn’t be further from the truth. Not interested if you have a family, you’re expected to work 50+ hours a week

Pros

Cab service .... I got some good flexibility when needed, no questions asked ... Have some good talent but they will get out soon as no one respects talent

Cons

Many: 1. Groupism at leadership level, creating poignant environment 2. Meritocracy is a joke to talk about, and So called PEOPLE principle doesn’t apply for GCC at least 3. Yes Boss culture at its best 4. If someone is leaving the company the leadership commands not to give a proper farewell, this kind of indignity this is very famous in BBP 5. Leadership particularly in BBP wakes up few days before Engagement survey, and after that again no action happens

Pros

Good benefits, free beer, decent pay. Some of the people are great, and can become life long friends. Nice office, parties, happy hour on Friday’s where you could bring a beer to your desk while you work.

Cons

You constantly have a 12 hour work load which you are supposed to get done in an 8 hour day. The office is extremely open with cubicles everywhere, meaning there are a TON of distractions constantly and you have no privacy to get your work done. Sometimes it can be fun because you’re always surrounded by people to talk to, but if you’re around people you don’t like then that can really make or break having a good day vs. a bad one. There is no such thing as “an 8 hour work day.” Try 9,10, sometimes 12 hour days. Work/life balance does not exist. Every year on the employee survey it gets a terrible rating. They always want you to go above and beyond what’s expected, but there is literally no way to do that unless you’re putting in 50-60 hours a week. In fact, if you were to leave when you’re ALLOWED TO LEAVE (at the end of your shift), you will become the talk of the office and will probably be spoken to by management for leaving ON TIME. They will find something about your work to complain about and use that as an excuse to getting on to you about going home. Not to mention there is no OT pay during the week. When it comes to the office politics, AB takes it to a whole new level. There are plenty of people who “play the part” and just get promoted without having successful results in their work. Yet when it comes time to showing why you should be promoted, all AB management wants to see is numbers. If you want to get promoted, all you have to do is really suck up to senior management and have “ok” numbers and you’re good to go.
