Pros

Benefits are good, Transport is facility excellent

Cons

I am a current employee of GCC unit of ABInBev and let me tell you that this unit of ABInBev sucks. As per 10 principles, leaders (who themselves are corrupted mentally and intentionally) absolutely don’t follow them. They always “take shortcuts”, “don’t value people but value their personal likings of people”. The most senior leader in GCC Ops thinks he is the “GOD” and if you don’t lick up to him you are doomed. They will visit all TOP colleges in India and hire them just to make them realise that they are under performers. I regret the decision of joining, rather I should have used this time for further studies. They tend to impress with jazzy ppts and videos in social media but trust me all those are only for social media. They brag about COOLTURE (CUTURE) but it’s absolutely missing here. But you have nowhere to report your concern, the so called PBPs are mere puppets of Leaders, they nod to what they have been asked to do. You will never see them fighting for the right thing for an employee, they are rude to people on the floor and walks around like PAs to the leaders. And also, there is a unique trend in GCC, people with bad feedback gets growth because they are liked by one of the leaders, that’s all it takes to grow in ABI – GCC. The IJP process that so-called people team introduced is an absolute joke, it was tweaked to fit the need of the “business leaders” so that they could promote who they want to. The GCC Ops leadership is not at all pro-women, they can’t handle strong women, all of them had to leave or made to leave. AND LET ME TELL YOU, the BIGGEST BREWER has started the process of laying off by forcefully issuing PIPs to people. I have a question for Carlos Brito, if you don’t have money to keep people during this tough time why your company is wasting money by keeping so many EXPATS in India. The organisation has ZERO trust in INDIA specially in GCC and hence you won’t see a single Indian Leader here, all of them are either from BRAZIL or BELGIUM and have only worked with ABI hence have no clue about how industry works. The only answer you will get if you don’t agree to their concept is “this is how it happens in ABI and other zones”, nonsense. It’s time to think, either you change the leadership completely or the company will also go down just like it’s share prices. Don’t let a bunch of wrong leaders ruin your prospect in India. The country is going to flourish and with these leaders you will just go down.

Pros

Size & scale of the organization means size of GCC opportunities are inherently massive, if they could be matched by strategy en lieu of incrementalism.

Cons

Weak, outdated vision based on cost slashing Highly political Weak, inexperienced management C-Suite outdated approach, uninspiring and overseeing 5 years of decline in the stock-price Overall lack of strategy. Speed, bluster & appropriation of others work is order of the day
