Proud of the misson of the Red Cross serving those in need

Cons

The RC needs to value their employees. They treat me like I'm a number. Promotions based on friendships. Unprofessionalism. Low pay. Pay not at all competitive. Management does not know how the employees are performing.

Great mission and worthy cause. The work is important saftey net for communities.

Cons

The work is relentless. People are doing 2 or 3 different jobs. Donations are down and the employees pay for the lack of revenue in terms of low pay and increased responsibilities. Days are super long, plus you are on call all the time.
